Outdoor Club History

Outdoor Club was first founded by Nok when she was a sophomore student at International College, Payap Universityin in year 2004. Nok always has a desire to build good understanding of interculture between the Thai and International students at Payap University. Nok started Outdoor Club with a few friends (Khun, Keng, Martin and DongZi) and IC students. We decided to work this club through adventure activities as well as serving community.

Outdoor Club very first project was to recruitestudent and have a retreat camping. We recruited around 36 students. We had our retreat camping at Doi Suteph Natural park. From that moment we spent together created such a memorable activities. We are all friends but not just a friend that u can hang out with but we share the same interests.

Our second project was a Firday Badminton to promote healthy living and stay away from drugs use.

Our Third Project was Amazing Chiang Rai trip. Part of the hospitality department touring program but organise and supported by Outdoor Club. We brought 40 friends on a bus to Chiang Rai for a fun trip and community project. We visited Chiang Rai, the Golden Triangles, Mae Sai and also Ban Kru Ngao. At Ban Kru Ngao, we donate clothes, study untensils a sport gears. We also help building mud house with all the orphang kids. The Kids that live here are mostly beggar and kids that born without identification and are abused. Kru Ngao and his team help rescue these kids and set up a centre so that they can get education and better living condition. We spent all our afternoon with them and share our love and sincerity for them. We hope to go back and visit them again.
